The Remodulation Project

An interative soundscape system wherein designers manipulate and evolve a sound. This is done either in realtime or out of time (by sharing recordings). This method of collaboration is similar to internet-based group composition in that audio files are shared. The difference comes in how the sound designers change the sound. Rather than adding "tracks", the sound itself is changed through looping, filtering or effects before it is passed on to another designer. The end result is a true meld of all performers involved.
